What if I am meant to be exactly as I am at this moment?

This is my Home Work, for the rest of my life (:,, given by my dear teacher Judith H. Lasater.

I am writing to you from my home in Athens after spending 5 magical days in London.

When we said goodbye, we laughed at how easy it is to find spirituality and creativity when you are in your yoga bubble club with same minded souls.

But the real yoga starts when we step back into our lives, doing dishes, taking care of our loved ones, and juggling 30,000 chores at once.

What if I am meant to be exactly as I am at this moment?

It seems fairly a very simple question, but I noticed how frequently I want to manipulate my state of being whether I am practicing yoga on my yoga mat, planning some workshops, or having my coffee with my doubts (:

I believe this is the essence of the Yoga Teachings, how can we make friends with the present moment and let the things be what they are.

Try experimenting with this in the following days or months or years using these three principles we explored in our workshop:

  1. Stop Complaining- complaining is always about blaming the other or the situation and it never solves the problem.

  2. Stop gossiping. It always comes from the ego. While stopping something might be very challenging, instead, just notice when it happens and pay attention to why you are gossiping.

  3. When someone speaks to you, stop what you are doing and give her/him your full attention.

This getaway was the most nourishing, inspiring, transformative, and fun trip in so many ways that I have had in a long long time.

No diapers, no one who needs my attention, no work (one or two emails don’t count right?), no household chores, but only #metime in a chic, friendly, but in a very expensive city.

London thank you for your hospitality, you gave me everything I needed exactly when I needed it.

I am sharing with you today one of my favorite practices,

Finding Spaciousness, that doesn’t take long (the video is slightly fast-forwarded) that I love to do before I travel. And no, you don’t need to travel to enjoy it. May it be of service.

Summer Retreats:

Finding Silence Retreat this coming July on a picturesque Evia Island.

Silence lives in the present moment, when we re-treat to a different location, we often find silence easier and quicker. But what happens when you go back home facing challenges and turmoil in life? How do we find silence then?

Join us for 5 days retreat on a beachfront retreat center that will draw us inward at first, and then allow us to let go entirely into this moment of silence. What could be more relaxing and healing?

Soil and Soul is a 5 days Yoga & Culinary Retreat this coming October on Northen Evia Island with the master Avital Sebbag. I met Avital during our retreat in Moa this year and since then we are working nonstop to create the most nurturing, refreshing & reconnecting nature retreat.

A special discount is now available until August 31st. And only 10 spots are left available.

Sankalpa Retreat in Goa, India - this 10-day, only for women retreat, is taking place on a stunning beach in Northern Goa. This time joining me is an amazing artist, therapist, and inspiring woman, Malka Nihom. Through her skill of photography and reiki, she will add great value to this transformative expedition to the true feminine self.

And lastly, I am working on an online ‘Breathing Workshop’ that will be full of dazzling revelations and will change the way you breathe. Sleep apnea, depression, eating disorders, insomnia, moodiness, digestion problems, weight issues, and many other health concerns can be solved by just breathing correctly. If this sounds like something you want to learn, or maybe you know someone who can benefit from this course, please write me and I will add you to my list.

I leave you today with this quote:

You don’t ‘find your purpose’. It finds you when you try new things. Stop looking. Start doing. Clay Hebert

Yours in Yoga,

Vicky
