Yoga & Pilates Retreat
with Victoria and Anat

12th-19th February., 2022

Samahita Retreat, Koh Samui, Thailand

Reset your life with daily Yoga & Pilates, sun, sea and clean, healthy food. SPARK a flame within you for practice, learning and the desire for transformation. ALIGN yourself with LIVING and LOVING LIFE and learn how to heal yourself when you are not on the retreat!

Because the combination of daily yoga, sunshine, rest, delicious healthy food, good company and beautiful surroundings is a winner, trust us!!  Daily yoga, when at home, will certainly enhance your physical and mental wellbeing, but there is the inevitable rush to get to work, or your next appointment, or a meeting straight afterwards…cutting short the small oasis of calm you’ve created. Holidays in the sun can be a wonderful, restful escape, but too much inactivity, good food and drinks in the sun can leave us feeling sluggish and in need of another break!

On a yoga retreat you get to relax, rest, enjoy peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings, eat sumptuous meals, go exploring, go to the beach…all the things you normally do on holiday but with the addition of daily yoga. Each morning begins with a yoga session which will calm your mind and energize your body, with no pressure to do anything else afterwards except sit down to an amazing breakfast which has been prepared for you. Afternoon we shall practice soft Pilates sessions, will enjoy guided meditation and enjoy yoga restorative.

A week of this will leave you feeling not only rested, but glowing, healthy and happy!  Food will be vegetarian and made from the most delicious local produce – think fruits, veggies, local yogurt and milk…and more.  Morning Yoga sessions and afternoon Pilates workshops will be held in the shalla accompanying an ocean sound – also with the same breathtaking views!! The rest of the time is free for you to do as you please – you can relax by the pool, relax on a private beach or explore the island.

Daily Pilates with Anat

Anat has been a student and practitioner of yoga, Pilates, posture, and therapeutic movement for 20 years. For the last 15 years she had her own Yoga and Pilates studio. She is able to bring her learning to life and help her students bring their bodies and mind into balance. She is also a practitioner of Osho meditation and mindfulness, participating in many workshops throughout the years, including awareness, vipassana, and rebirthing.

Balance class

Balance is an inseparable part of our lives. Our posture tends to get undermined through the years. Weakness in the hips and legs can lead to people tripping and the potential for dangerous injuries.

Practicing balance can reduce slipping and falling. This class will practice balancing in a challenging and surprising way.

Massage Tennis class

An hour of recovery for mussels and tissue to reduce pain and stress in the body, improve blood flow, and correct posture. Our goal is to improve flexibility and range of movement.

Releasing of the joints

Joints connections between the bones in our body. They supply the physical support that allows us to move freely. Today, the amount of time we spend sitting is enormous. We sit at work, commuting, and at home on the couch in the living room. When we remain seated for such long periods of time, the body gets more closed, leading to aches and pains and an inability to move freely.

To counter the negative effects of sitting for long periods of time we will train the muscles around the joints, practice flexibility and strengthen the hips, knees, shoulders, palms of our hands, and more.

Understanding, preparation and practice.

Classic Pilates Thera-band practice.

A practice, supported by the floor and stretching of a band. Highlighting awareness, improving posture and the strengthening and flexibility of the muscles.

Experimental Surprise Class

An experimental class where we will practice movements unique to infants in the first year of life.

Rona Ilan, Greece 2019

I participated in a yoga retreat led by Vicky in Greece, on May 2019. We were an intimate group of wonderful people, sharing five days together on a beautiful island, practicing yoga in sunrise and meditation in sun dawn every day, exploring the island, eating delicious Greek homemade meals and most importantly, zooming out of our hectic everyday lives and tuning in to our deeper wishes and desires.

With her unique relaxed and fun-loving approach, Vicky led this very personal retreat with a lot of sensitivity and knowledge, she was in every detail, and took this retreat also as part of her own personal development journey, and it really showed.

My take at the end of the retreat was that living a life you don't need a vacation from is my current goal. While working on that :) I'm waiting for my next retreat with Vicky, as I feel this is so much more than a vacation, this is a time to relax, smile, recharge, and practice the art of designing your daily life as a vacation.

Thank you Vicky :)
