Mysore is a city in the south Indian state of Karnataka, located about 90 miles from the tech hub of Bangalore. It's one of the most popular yoga destinations in India, and over the years has achieved world-wide recognition as a center for yoga. Apart from being an excellent place for yoga, Mysore is also a lovely city with stately palaces and temples.

In fact, Mysore is known as the Ashtanga yoga capital of India. The style was developed by Sri Krishna Pattabhi Jois, who founded the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in Mysore in 1948.
He was a disciple of Sri T Krishnamacharya, who's regarded as one of the most influential yoga teachers of the 20th century.

During these 2 weeks, together, we will experience India, we will feel its pulse and we will research how this very Indian practice truly translates to us.

This journey will give you an opportunity to dive deeper into your yoga practice and will expose you to the Indian culture and circumstances in which the discipline evolved.


The journey includes:

  • Daily morning asana practice (mysore style and one led class per week)

  • 2 Yoga Workshops

  • 14 nights’ accommodation (single or double occupancy)

  • Puja Ceremony in the local Village (including transfers)

  • Airport transfers from Bangalore to Mysore and back

  • Daily afternoon mediation sessions

  • Morning philosophy (2 times per week following morning practice)

  • Morning pranayama sessions (2 times per week following morning practice)

  • Mindfulness & self-inquiry afternoon classes

  • Traditional dinner with a famous local cook

  • One day trip including guide and lunch

  • 2 Dinners (on the arrival and departure day)
